As a young actor/director, is there any way for me to get into a bigger production?

I know everybody says "I'm so passionate about acting" but I really think I'm a decent actor, and I want to be a director when I grow up. I'm just so young that I don't even know where to begin to get into a movie, TV show, or even a commercial for that matter! I just want to know if anybody else knows how. thanks.

You can also do what many other stars have done and post videos of you on Youtube and share them on Facebook and have other people share it for you too. This could get producers and such to see your talent.

You should start by trying out in all the auditions you can find. Your big break might just come during one audition. You can also think about hiring an agent to find opportunities for you. I am actually looking for information like this. I make plays but I'm really big on writing stories and poems. The one thing I do know is that it takes money to get money. And alot. If this is your dream, you should follow it, but you should also keep an aside job just in case your dream does not take off immediately.

Take acting classes and improve your technique. Then go out for roles in student films. THEN, after you've got some experience under your belt, get headshots and try to get on board with a casting agency and go to auditions. Also, sell yourself as an actor, not an actor / director. People only want to consider you for one thing at a time. Good luck!

I am in the same shoes as you, but you should look for an acting agent and then get a headshot.
