How to get your mom's attention?

For two years, ever since the minute my dad died, I haven't wanted to live with my mom. I haven't said anything to her until the past month, i wont leave until i have her permission but every time i try and sit down and talk to her she ignores me or walks away because she doesn't want to hear it. I've tried more ways than i can count to get her attention and the only way i can think of that i haven't tried is to rebel and get my teachers involved so somebody will force her to sit down and talk with me. I know this is a stupid idea but i haven't got any other ideas i haven't already tried. What should i do?

Have you tried getting a relative to intervene? Maybe an Aunt or Uncle? Grandparents? Don't rebel, you'll only be hurting yourself and make matters worse.

Try talking to your school counselor, maybe he or she can talk to your mom if you ask or at least you can talk to someone about what's going on. She may have needed grief counseling. She's not dealing with life very well.

Two years isn't much time for your mom. She is still grieving the loss of her husband. I'm sorry you're feeling ignored. I recommend writing her a letter and telling her how you feel. Give her lots of love, and maybe there are things the two of you can do together.Talking to a relative idea is good idea.

Oh. Well, she has issues, then. My advice still stands, ok? I wish you the best.
