I have a ford explorer 2006 and gear wont move from P , parking, do you know why?
Brake light fuse is blown. Safety feature common with fords. I know this from fifteen years of AAA road service
it happened to me and something was sheared off in the transmission,if this is the case,a new one is needed
Probably bent the lock in the steering colomn
I second the brake light fuse. Guaranteed that's your problem.
Do you have the brake pedal pushed in when you're trying to shift? If not then there's your problem.
This seems almost too simple to suggest but have you tried jiggling the steering wheel back and forth, stepping on the brake pedal and turning the ignition key?
Override shifter solenoid see owners manual
