I have an old lined canvas oil painting with no signature or identifying marks. How do I get information on it?

it is 39"x 29"

You can get information regarding the painting by haveing it checked out at a local art gallery/exhibition. If the oil painting is familiar enough, they will be able to identify it immediately.

Take it to a professional appraiser. Even without signed signature an artist will leave his style. A sort of signature. Depending on the renown of the painter.
