I have trouble on math homework. The difference between the prices of two bikes is $18. The sum of the two prices is $258. How much does each bike cost?

Bicycle A & Bicycle B; A - B=$18 A + B = $258; Therefore B = A - 18. Substitute that value for B in the second equation and Solve for A; Once you have A, you plug in and get Y ; A = 138 B = 120
