It's not hard, really. However you do need seeds that aren't from a hybrid plant, since those don't always breed true. Best to buy a seed packet or get seeds from a wild plant, rather than from fruit from a produce market (commercial strawberries are generally special hybrids). Once the seeds start to grow, the little plants will not bear fruit until they flower, which won't be until the following season.
