It is not what you eat, it is how much you eat. Everything in moderation. Eat a protein filled breakfast because if you start your day with breads, bagels, pancakes, etc. your energy will be depleted and you will be very hungry by 11:00 am. Try to limit your carb intake and do not eat any carbs after 2:00 pm. Also, try to eat your last meal by 7:00 pm.

I just had lap band surgery, and am having good results from protein shakes, no bread, mostly protein and small meals. Greek yogurt is high protein. I admit when I am exercising by walking, I lose more. When hungry, I drink a hot drink (decaf tea or coffee or low cal hot chocolate) and use sugar free jello or pudding w/ fat free canned whipped topping. It's working!!!
Just don't eat fatty things, do exercise,don't eat much,no soft drinks,no junk food,no bread,no coffee,just shakes n fresh juices....I m sure you will lose ur weight my aunt did all this n she is 60 now she was 100 can you imagine!!
Eat protein, do push ups, And avoid carbs. You will convert existing fat to muscle. Then continue eating no carbs but lay off the push ups. You will not put on additional weight, but will loose muscle. Subtracting weight.

AVOID: starch (which is instant sugar & turned into fat if not used) (i.e. pasta/noodles, bread, white potatoes, etc..) EAT: 100% whole grain whatever (I like the Kashi crackers), lean protein (whey protein), egg whites, dark green veggies (i.e. broccoli, spinach, asparagus, etc..), plain air-popped popcorn popped in olive oil and no seasonings (that's something I eat when I'm craving a late night snack and it's full of fiber which makes you feel full). Don't forget lots of water. Fruit is always great for a snack or whenever. Oh.. and purple potatoes/yams have fat-fighting properties (I think I remember that right)...

- You should EAT FRESH FOOD: Choose fresh, nutrient-rich, healthy, low-fat foods. Adding a lot of vegetables and fruits to your diet will help you, they keep you feeling full so you won't even feel the need to eat. Also drinking bouillon, soup, made with filtered water will help you feel full.
- CONSUME LOW CALORIES. There are two things you eat and drink that contain no calories: water and fiber and vegetables (carrots, red cabbage, celery, broccoli, onion, etc)
