How much wood products do I need to make a 12'x24' shed? How many floor joist, sills, subfloor, sole plates, double top plates, and studs?

this is built on 16" on center

Second opinion: Always measure twice and cut once. Multiply 12x24 to arrive at the number of inches in the 2"x 6"x 24' side then divide by 16 to get the number of 2"x 6"x12' floor joists you'll need to span and support the floor decking. Go back to your calculation and pull out the 12x24 total that is 288sq. ft. of floor space and divide that by 32(number of square feet in a 4'x8' sheet of plywood) for the floor base. So that means you need 9 full sheets of 23/32 CDX plywood just for the floor alone. Do the same for the walls and the roof. By the way, a single slope roof facing South is much more efficient an inexpensive. You should be able to make a deck screw count for fasteners or galvanized nails if you don't care if it lasts. good luck!

Get a calculator and just start to figure it out. It's pretty easy to do.
