What would cause fingers to ache or tinkle unexpectedly?

I was just sitting down & my fingers started to tinkle & ache. Could it be a muscle in my arm or maybe a weather factor (since it started snowing where I live tonight again.) Thanks in advance.

How old are you. Not that it really matters. But my grandfather had this a lot when he was cold. And it ended up being arthritis.

Could be arthritis or if your fairly active in sports etc. might just be a pinched nerve. Once i hurt my shoulder playing football with friends and just the inflammation was enough to cause nerve pinching.

I'm wondering if it's a pinched nerve or something else since it goes and comes. I don't think I'm that old for arthritis yet in my hand. Thanks!
