What does it mean when someone says "I like the way you are"?

This confuses me, I don't understand this at all. I just don't get what he means by that. "I like the way you are"... I wish he could speak to me in proper English. I mean if you are going to say something like that, at least put more depth into it so it makes sense. -.-

It means that, that particular person likes your personality. It also means that he likes the way you carry yourself around and also the individuality in you.

Usually, when someone says they like the way you are, they are expressing respect for your moral and ethical viewpoints. The depth may be missing in the comment because the person may be naturally reserved or even shy and they don't want to be mistaken for a groupie. Also they could just be trying to give you a much needed ego boost. Which some of us need at times and most of us really deserve. After all, it doesn't cost much to be nice to someone.

This does have depth, it makes you wonder what he meant, I think it's sweet it keeps you wondering about him and wanting him more, he likes you for who you are
