This question is strictly for women... Or girls... Please help. READ DESCRIPTION!

ok. I have been told that brown discharge is your period or means you are about to have your period. I had this discharge for about a week ad now it's gone. I haven't have it in a couple of days and it came out stringy or mushy dark brown. sorry if it sounds gross but was that my period? I also read that it is kinda like a sustitute period... it's brown because it was supposed to be my period but it was late. I am kinda worried. I know I might wanna check with a doctor but look past that what does my brown discharge or brown colored period mean?

Relax Derpina, its okay (: the colors of the fluid ranges, so the fact that its brown isnt necessarily bad. It sounds like it could be a period substitue, maybe your body is lacking in fluids (water). I suggest drinking a lot of water to avoid this happening again.

Sorry, that means you did start your period. It comes and goes.

I know I have and I just wanna say I don't like talking to my mother because she isn't one I talk to. My aunt (someone I prefer talking to) is coming to town this weekend. So I will ask her when we r alone

Well, I'm 14 and I have had that clear discharge for 1 1/2

1 1/2 what.. I mean if you haven't been having a period for more than a year. but if your only 14 it's probably not a big deal .your still developing.

It might be old blood or you can be pregnant..although I dont know your age but Its best to talk to your Doctor though, to be on the safe side..Hope I helped in some kind of way :) God Bless

oh ok good :) Well my best opinion it can preobaly be a light period, maybe you are having an off period..Happens to all us women at one point, but If you still are concerned please talk to your doctor :)

Talk with your mom or some other relative or the school nurse. All kinds of stuff happens during a period, it's nothing to worry about.

This could be a sign that you are having fertility problems. I would highly suggest you go see a gynecologist.
