0.09 is the answer
here's how you do it:
0.89 times 12 is 10.68 subtract by 9.60 and get 1.08 then divide by 12 and get 0.09

ha yeah its always the simple mistakes that get people! that's why I hate math! especially trig!

ugh... i hate trig. >.<

me too its pointless unless you're going to be an architect or construction worker
Report as
or a engineer. but i don't think construction workers need alot of math education, do they? i always thought they needed a minimum education of mathamatics.
Report as
they should know some because of measuring angles I guess idk ha
you're probably right though

Don't underestimate the need for math beyond school.
That example could be used in your budget, in the grocery store, in drafting up a bit for pricing out a job.
Just test your teachers into giving real world examples to keep your interest.

ohh im not underestimating what problem she had asked im just saying that trigonometry is used for very little in the majority of the jobs

My math:

$0.89 x 12 = $10.68
$10.68 - $9.60 = $1.08

TA-DA! :D

U forgot to divide by 12 which equals 0.09..look at the details i wrote for u..it has the answer choices and theres no 1.80 up there.. :)
Report as
i forgot to divide by 12. so divide $1.08 by 12, and you get = $0.90.

Yes.. :)

It asked for the savings on just one notebook. You would do better in math if you read the problem carefully. And after you write it down read it again and check it again.
I'm not being sarcastic. I make so many mistakes because of this.
