If you kill somebody in war will God still forgive you of murder

Report as

He'll forgive anything. Well, except unbelief. But anything else he'll forgive.

Crusades... They were Catholics who killed many, many many people, but were still holey men. God forgave then, and if God doesn't for give you then he's (let's face it) a hypocritical God. just saying.

It would take a truly evil god to forgive the crusades and holocaust. I think we both know that god is evil though. If we are fortunate it's some other deity.

Taylor, please tell me how you know that the filthy unholy acts of the crusades is a forgiven one. I don't know that they are.

If you repent, yes. But the question, should we support war? Jesus said in John 13:34,35 "I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.?

IF a God can't forgive a man for doing his duty in combat, he is not worth believing in. Period.

No. Fighting for your country in a "just war" is a noble thing to do. Unfortunately, the death of men and women is a tragic consequence of war.
However, if your military superiors order you to do something that is intrinsically immoral, such as executing innocent victims, then you are REQUIRED to refuse by the moral law (Jas 4:17). You cannot say, "I was only following orders," as many Nazis did at the end of World War II. This will not get you off the hook for doing an immoral act.

Hope this helps! - ManOfKnowledge

David killed Goliath---david said: you come to me with ........ But i come in the name of the Lord!
If God is in the battle with you.... Killing is not murder!
Murder is from the intent of the heart.
It comes from greed/pride/ hate!
God knows your heart!
