Who thinks banning Guns can help stop violence?

People who have guns legally
Are not the ones to worry about
So banning will do nothing .
Besides , people kill people
A gun needs a finger to pull the trigger

Banning guns with not stop any thing people will just find other means of killing one another and people that say Guns Kill People are so wrong cause knifes can kill people to so why don't we band knifes the thing is

Well most people who kill people already have guns illegally so banning guns won't do anything but take them away from responsible owners who use them to hunt and protect their families and I know a few people who would kill anyone that tried to take their gun so I don't think it will help stop violence.

Nope, banning weapons, especially guns generally increases violence. I have a news flash for you, criminals don't care what is banned, they are criminals for a reason, that way they don't have to follow the rules, the only thing a gun ban would do is disarm the people who aren't criminals, making them much easier targets.

It won't do anything. Guns aren't what kill people. People kill people. Taking away guns just limits our self defense. Taking them away isn't going to stop criminals. They acquire guns illegally. They always have. So taking them away isn't going to stop violence.

Take a look at Chicago they have the STRICTEST gun laws in the nation, they also have the HIGHEST amount of gun violence in the nation!!! So the way I see it the dirtbags are getting the guns ILLEGALLY!!! So do I think anything will change? NO! Not unless we lock up all the criminals, ppl we think will be criminals and the mentally ill that are violent and like guns. Like we ALREADY KNOW people kill people guns don't ! That should be the new national anthem bc WE ALL SE TO AGREE ON IT!!!

Banning guns and anything that has been proposed by democrats only targets the responsible and law abiding citizens. Why don't they propose and target criminals?

In places where guns are banned and all guns are tendered back to the government, the weapon of choice becomes a knife. For mass murder, the weapon of choice becomes a bomb. It does not seem to stop violence.

It's true that people kill people, we all know that, but it's also a fact that some people shouldn't have guns. We should try to make it harder for these people to get guns.Its gov. Responsibility to at least try to do something. Other wise they could be accused of not doing their job.Im not worried, I know I will be allowed to keep mine.They can't ban guns , they know that.

no... one could Murder someone with simply their own hands, drowning or suffocating them, or stab them with a pencil and have their victim either bleed to Death or suffer lead poisoning. and if they deem banning guns the solution, they might as well ban cars, too, as so many more accidents and drunk driving occurences kill people than guns. (and banning cars is the dumbest idea in that case. just could end up with a car key in the neck instead XD)

yes and no. I don't think it would help to ban them altogether, as they do serve some purposes in our world, however we should have much stricter background checks and exams for purchases and have to submit why we want one
