Are you playing on the computer or Xbox? Make sure you have your game set to "joinable".

Nobody from other networks can join because you have not enabled the option for them to join. You need to make sure that you have set your game to "joinable" after installing it so that any other person can join. Alternatively, you can contact the Minecraft customer service for more help.
