Your body changes sometimes which is why switching is sometimes needed. Just talk to your doctor about what's right for you.

Are you taking birth control simply as birth control, or for other medical reasons? If hormonal birth control isn't working for you, try ParaGard. It's a 100% non-hormonal IUD and doesn't come with the clotting risk and mood-swings that hormonal birth control does.

thanks that helps

You're very welcome. My doctor recommended ParaGard to me because I can't take hormones, due to a clotting disorder, and this is the only birth control that doesn't have that risk. So I pass it along when I can. :)
