Well, not quite nasty, but . . .custard.
When I was doing basic military training I left the table to get a cup of coffee then came back and ate the custard I'd left behind. I had a couple of mouthfuls and said, "This is the saltiest custard I've ever eaten." There were nods of agreement from around the table and I kept eating -- we didn't leave food in the army, there wasn't enough of it. When I had eaten about half of it I realised that one of my buddies (and I use that term VERY loosely) had emptied a salt cellar into it.
One of my first nutrition class in college, my professor put a container of urea on the table and said, "taste it." The container contents looked like styrofoam beads. I put one in my mouth. It was the most bitter tastes I've ever tasted.
I don't know if this counts, but cherry flavored cough medicine. As a little child, my mother seemed to think that was the best solution to everything, and of course every time I took it, I threw it up. To this day I have trouble taking any liquid medicine. I still have cold chills just thinking about the taste of that stuff.
