Is it against the law to collect a wild Peacock from private property?

My friend Jackson found a hurt peacock and it's our duty to rescue those in need... so is it illegal or not?

It would depend on what state you are in. The best thing to do is to call your state's fish and game agency and ask them what you should do. Don't go onto private property without permission for any reason.

awww, poor peacock, i'd take it to the owner and get the owner to take it to a vet, but if the owner threatens to do anything to the peacock or neglects it, report him or her for animal cruelty. Great job wanting to help the peacock though, it's nice to want to, not too many would stop to help someone elses pet. :)

The owner does not own the peacock, they run wild here in florida :) but this one was injured and it needs to be in some sort of care unit asap.

oh, then you should take it to a veterinarian, but they might put it to sleep if it's severely injured. if not, they'll take care of it and then get you to take it back to where it lives. :)

We are trained and we have veterinary knowledge, so even if it is on private property, it is NOT against the law to take it, correct? Only answer if you are 100% sure.

Call animal control. You could be charged with theft.
