Manic/Depressive. They are either on the Manic side which is very scary or the Depressive side which is scary too but more tolerable. I know. I was married to one. You can get them on medication but they will take it for a while, feel better then think they don't need it. Be careful. It's either high or low periods.
My dad has this so I have a pretty good grasp of it: 1) Bipolar is hereditary 2) If people with bipolar stay on the correct meds they are safe to be around. 3) They cannot be blamed for what they do because of the ups and downs. 4) Sometimes they are perfectly normal people, sometimes extremely angry, horribly sad, and sometimes depressed beyond belief. 5) In the beginning bipolar may be diagnosed as ADD or ADHD. 6) You have to be 18 or older to be diagnosed with bipolar at least in California. This is all I can think of at the moment.
