Should you financially support your friends funeral cost and then complain about it later

My classmates son passed away and a friend of ours made a contribution for them, now they are complaining because they dont have money to pay their bills, is this wrong?

I dont think theres a right or wrong in this type of situation. They did a good deed by helping finance this kids funeral, but now when they need help theres no open hands.

Morally, yes. No one forced them to finance it. They put in contributions themselves.

Yes it's wrong. We all have our hardships. Don't contribute unless you can. If you do, then count it as a blessing. God will repay you later.

Nice gesture many may not make. Life throws curves. Once you make a committment, learn to run the bases. Home run or foul, it all eventually works out. Chalk it up to experience.

I'm not going to judge someone morally. They were too generous.

Yes, that's wrong, if you do something out of the goodness of your heart, then you should not complain later. Sounds like they want to be reimbursed.
