I'm a 14 year old female that has had breathing problems for the past week. I cannot breathe in all the way, and it causes me great pain.

I do not know what is wrong. I just know my lungs cannot fill with air. it hurts my back to try and breathe in all the way and after I eat my lungs feel even smaller. I do not understand why this is happening but I'm really scared and I need to know if something's wrong with me. does anyone have a clue what could be wrong with me?

You need to see a doctor, Im only a few years older and anytime your lungs start to feel compressed or you are unable to gather air as you need you should go to a doctor because it could progress and gt to a life threatening point.
please consult a physician.

I don't know but better to be safe then sorry.....go see a doctor.....that's what I would do.....good luck

I'm not to sure but you should go to the emergency room . That doesn't sound to good . Sorry get better soon

ask a dr. I did and I found out I had a disorder that could kill me btw im only 13

The reason you feel pain when you breathe could be due to etelectasis, which is a condition that occurs after lungs collapse or do not inflate well. Respiratory disease syndrome (RDS) and pleural effusion are conditions that can also cause such pain. The best thing would be to consult a doctor for diagnosis. Go to a doctor you may be having an asthma thing best to go find out could be something more serious. I was 20 years old when I got asthma I thought I was gonna die .

Atelectasis may be the condition in which the volume of the lung is reduced and the lung doesnt accept incoming air ..,so is the pain , consult a doctor,better dont delay..,get well soon dude..........

You need to see a Doctor. You can go to Urgent Care or a low cost Clinic if you have no insurance.
Tell your Parents or School Nurse.
