The Bible clearly teaches that angels are real, and they constantly work in unseen ways on behalf of God's children. The Bible says, "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14) .But the Bible also clearly teaches that we aren't to worship angels or pray to them. (Revelation 22:9). Only God is worthy of our worship, and nothing else must be allowed to take His place. Jesus said (quoting the Old Testament), "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only" (Matthew 4:10). Angels were created by God (just as we were), and only our Creator is worthy of our adoration. Jesus Christ has opened heaven's door to us, and we have direct access to the Father through Him (see Hebrews 4:14-16). "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."Philippians 4:6

Hi Betty, I think that God expects us believers to pray and ask Him to surround us with His angels. I like to remember what Paul wrote to us in Philippians 4:6,7 "Worry about nothing, but in everything pray, and thank him first, then let your prayers be known to God. And the peace that passes understanding, will keep out hearts and minds." I like your question Betty, bye friend! Beth
As Strawberrygirl said, angels are ministering spirits. But we cannot pray to them or through them. Prayers are directed to our heavenly father through Jesus Christ. As 1 Timothy 2:5 says "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus."
