Basically, yes, and in regard to Tesla, many like myself dispute that he invented radio. He did discover electromagnetic transmission but that's all he did. Marconi, by putting Tesla's discovery to use using point to point transmission and detection of intelligence put on the electromagnetic transmission, is indeed the person who invented radio.

He used teslas patents,Marconis patents were overturned in favor of teslas. It's known that tesla discovered radio, Marconi was the first to send a signal from I point to another.tesla lost financial backing, and could not continue.

Nope, sorry but that's incorrect. Had Marconi filed an Improvement Patent, Marconi still could have done what he did legally, and what work Marconi did was not performed by Tesla. Ever. Tesla discovered EMF and patented machines. The U.S. Patent Office does not, and never has, patented ideas. Marconi remains the inventor of radio while Tesla remains only the discoverer of EMF.

I understand, that Marconi had his patents involving radio overturned in favor of teslas, whose patents he used , have you any knowledge of this.

That's just a technicality. Marconi could himself have filed for an Improvement Patent and proceeded legally. It's the fact that he didn't is what got him into trouble. Edison didn't invent the phonograph, and yet is credited with it--because the patent he filed for was indeed an Improvement Patent, something the Patent Office issues when another person's invention has been improved upon by the Improvement Patent holder.

I also understand, but I have always disagreed with that outcome. Thank you for your input.

A number of people do disagree, which is why the topic is debatable and which is why I weighed in on it via my own research on the subject.

Did you honestly think our Educational System would do away with any of their Myths!?
I'm sure that they're still teaching them that they came ashore on Plymouth's Rock. Think of all those Tourist dollars. ;-/
Thankfully, this Generation has no fear in calling out the inaccuracies.

I haven't been to a public school for a long time but whether it's politically correct to say so or not, Columbus did discover America. To say someone discovered something isn't always the same as saying that they were the first to discover it. He made it known in Europe. Prior to his discovery it was not known to Europe even though we now know that Vikings had already been to America and obviously the people already living in America knew that they weren't living underwater. Columbus made an important discovery that changed the course of history. That's why we refer to the time before Spanish influence as Pre-Columbian. It was a turning point.
