My German Shepherd is sick and in the house. Is it dangerous for my kids and my cat to be exposed to him? I'm kind of a germ freak so...

We don't know exactly what's wrong... vet thinks it could be just a cold or it could be pneumonia. He's being treated with antibiotics. I'm just a very sanitary person and the thought of all the germs is worrying me..

I think it will be fine .
And I don't believe a dog or cat can give a human a cold that they have,
I have been sick twice this year and never gave my two cats my fever ,

Dogs can't catch diseases from us but we can catch them from dogs so you may wanna separate them

It's probably fine. Depends on what made him sick like rabies, parasites, etc

It is extremely rare and requires a mutation for humans to get pneumonia from dogs. I would keep them separated so the dog can have some peace and quiet while it heals.
