Homeschool: Pro: don't have to deal with foul language, more at your pace, don't have to get up so early, food;) Con: not alot of friends,
School: Pro: get to meet people, opportunities to participate in after school activities and sports, Cons: wake up early, more due dates, teachers you may not like, and maybe mandatory classes for that school you may not want to take,
Public school: you could make friends and have a actual teacher. But the friends there can cause drama and make fun of you, and you could have detention, get in trouble, ect. homeschool: you'll be a loner for life. But, you could pay attention more and can learn more.
So many people who have never experienced homeschooling say things like "no social opportunities" and "loners" and "no sports", etc. This is all erroneous drivel. With homeschooling, you can take advantage of all your school district's extra-curricular activities including chorus, band, orchestra, cheer leading, all sports, etc. Your parents pay school taxes PLUS pay for your education so all of that is available for you. In my experience(I was public schooled, my wife was boarding schooled, and my 3 sons are homeschooled), homeschooled kids are generally much more prone to hold competent, adult conversations with adults, while most public schooled kids see adults as the enemy and try to avoid them. While public schoolers form social cliques due to bullying, teasing, and social self-consciousness, homeschoolers gravitate towards ANY kid and strive to include all kids equally in activities, neighborhood play, and church or other gatherings. Some other benefits of homeschooling over public school is one-on-one teaching, going at your own pace, being done with school when you're done rather than sitting there being baby-sat waiting for others to be done, getting to eat and drink in class, moving ahead in any subject you want to, hands on intensive and active learning, trading a Saturday for a Wednesday if you want to, going on a road trip and making a field trip out of it, taking mid-year vacations when your family wants to, doing your school work in your pj's on a lawn chair in the yard sipping lemonade while your brother does his in the treehouse...and on and on. Not to mention, you don't have to learn inappropriate behavior and expectations of sex at 13 years old simply because you are going through puberty. There are SO many other reasons for homeschooling over public school, but I digress for this is getting long. ANY QUESTIONS? comment and I'll answer.
