Hi,i have 2 parakeets in my house,but i don't know which ones male or female.can someone please tell me which is male or female?

The male will have a blue cere (the skin just above the beak that the nostrils are located on) Females will be pinkish or white ... The only time you can't tell male from female is if they are albino (solid white with pinkish or red eyes) because these have no pigmentation genes so the cere will always be pinkish/white on both sexes :)

Aside from bluey-purple cere on a boy & creamy cere for a girl. When a girl is old enough & ready to breed her cere will go brownish & sort of crusty. This is normal & after she finishes breeding if she does her cere will go back to creamy again.

Female=short tail

Not for a budgie. A short tailed budgie is called a runner. If birds are inbred this occurs in the young sometimes. The flight feathers on their wings & tails don't grow properly & often fall out when young. If they are fed well & given vitamins there's a chance their flight feathers can grow back but you should not breed with these birds as their babies will have the same problems.
