Births or deaths: which progresses at a faster rate?

Report as

It is an interesting question that I would love to calculate given the time. But if you are being specific in talking about our population currently, the birth rate must be greater for our population to grow (and it is). As we near a carrying capacity that exists though, it must decrease (as given forth by "carrying capacity"...) I imagine reaching nearer this, the birth rate and death rate will flutter back and forth.

Seeing as the population is growing and not declining, it would stand to reason births.
