Based on reviews, it is possible for one to sell his or her soul but this does not make it real. This is considered as an expression by other people; meaning that one is always willing to do what he or she has to, for him or her to get what they want.
Many people have sold there souls they lose in life due to unforeseen problems they lose everything that's important to them and can't seem to recover. I would think it would be a sold soul even though u did not get anything from or for it
Your soul is not a tangible item so it cannot be sold just as other body parts and organs which are tangible cannot be sold. However, the member who answered, "you can sell your soul to the devil" which is a is metaphoric statement, is accurate.
Jesus already paid the price for all mankinds soul, but they have to recieve it and surrender their lives to Him. People in their mind can be deceived into believing they have sold their soul to the devil and if they don't repent and give their life to Jesus they will spent eternity with the devil. But all in reality that's just a front that the devil uses to make other people think that their not so bad because they would never do that themselves. The devil already has the rights to all those souls that don't Repent and ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior.
The Bible has no instance of a person "selling his soul" to Satan, and it never implies that making a bargain with the devil is possible. Without Christ, we are all under condemnation of death (Romans 3:23). Before we are saved, we are all in bondage to the devil, as 1 John 5:19 says, "The whole world lies in the power of the evil one." Praise the Lord, we have a new Master, One who can break the chains of any sin and set us free (1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Mark 5:1-15).http://www.gotquestions.org/sell-soul-devil.html
This is just my opinion... I truly feel the entertainment business, Hollywood, and all that fame comes with a price. Your soul for fame. People in Hollywood are like aliens living in their own little bubble with their own agenda and Satan as their recruiter.
It is referring to the evil sins people will do for the love of money. In that sense, yes, they sold their salvation and their soul for money. You can also "get your soul back" by asking Christ into your life, repenting and turning your life over to Him.
Sure you can, it is YOUR soul, it just depends how much you want for it. From what I've heard, Satan is rather cheap. You could look at the price range of souls on eBay to get a rough idea as to how much you should sell it for... or, maybe just hang onto it. You never know when you might need your soul... :)
It's a mediaeval superstition that probably originated with Paracelsus who, in turn, probably inspired the Faust legend.
Theophrastus Bombastus Aureolus ab Hohenheim was a most unpleasant man who took the name Paracelsus which means "better than Celsus" a revered Roman historian and physician. He was a gifted healer and created many medicines and remedies. The only one we still use is zinc ointment.
He was in continual conflict with local authorities and his second name, Bombastus, lives on in the word, bombastic. To be bombastic is to be like Paracelsus.
Which brings us to the answer to your question.
Because of his unpopularity, city dignitaries and church leaders spread the rumour that his great successes were possible because he had sold his soul to the Devil.
But if you have trouble spelling don't even consider following in his footsteps. The last dyslexic who tried that sold his soul to Santa.
