No. I don't believe that anymore. Some things do, don't get me wrong, but not everything. I believe we have a set path that we are supposed to follow, but things happen a long the way that weren't expected, and weren't supposed to happen. If that even makes sense.
I honestly do believe that and have always believed it. It's one of my favorite quotes. I like to think that everything happens for a reason- the obstacles we face are put there for a reason. That reason is to show us that we can overcome it, become a stronger person, and know that we're able to overcome anything.
It depends a lot on what it is that happened. Something's can be events leading up to your bad day or just that: a bad day. Also the person, if you believe this is your karma or "everything happens for a reason"
