this seems impossible

THIS IS CRAZY my cousins are twins and both tryed to go to my dream college a year ago nyu..my uncle had a 3.5 gpa and my aunt had a 3.0 gpa and and her sat scores were 2000 and his were 1900 and she got accepted and he got rejected....how is that possible

What other sort of extra curricular activities did they have - clubs, societies, sports, community service, etc...? Grades and test scores alone don't count for everything, so it could be that she was a more well rounded student overall.

Having said that though, there's always the possibility that she got in on minority status - being a woman. Don' t know if some schools still do that sort of thing, but it's always possible.

Well, one could have been more involved in a sport or other sort of activity. Colleges look into those things as well.
