Can someone who has moved on be spiritually forced back into an ex relationship?

My girlfriend is concerned that her ex boyfriend is attempting to get her back through witchcraft. She is over him, but for some reason, she has recently started to regain feelings for him, and is obsessing over him, when she sees no reason in it. She fears she may spiritually be in danger. If you know ANYTHING about this stuff, I'd like to be able to comfort her with it.

I'm inclined to agree with Torngren in saying this is absurd but, if she believes it, her own subconscious can work against her. That kind of belief can kill, as we've seen demonstrated in Aboriginal bone pointing. It isn't the bone that kills, it's the unmitigated belief that it can.

Why not send her to a New Age shop to buy a clear quartz crystal, or an amethyst, which she can carry for protection? It might give her the confidence to stop thinking about this guy and his witchcraft.

Very true, Dodgy. I considereded that angle myself, but opted to keep it quiet. It seems that giving scientific reasoning to some believers about this sort of thing, only causes them to dismiss logic because of their faith.

I also had doubts about it but there are so many parallels in modern belief systems and if it works, what the heck? Let's try it. Placebos come in many forms.

Dodgy, I was almost going to agree with you until you advised him to go to a new age store to buy a rock for protection, now "that" is absurd, and laughable!

Sure, but my point is that if she BELIEVES the crystal will work it's a sop to the subconscious to bring it into line. A kind of metaphysical Jethro Leroy Gibbs slapping an imaginary Dinnozo up the back of the head. :D

Read it again and you may see my point.

I don't think that you can spiritually be forced back into a relationship. But, you know the saying. If you love two people, pick the second one because if you really loved the first you wouldn't have fell for the second. hope i helped.

I believe the best thing you can comfort her with is to make her feel more secure in the relationship and have no reason to think about the ex-boyfriend. She can also try meditation or engaging in an activity that will distract her from thinking about him.

Religion only on you IF you believe it. Religion is not a 'must do or die' thing. It is a 'want to do' thing.

No you can choose wether you want to go back into the relationship, it's up to you, not your religion

If she's a Born Again Christian witchcraft has no authority over her. But if she's not then yes she can be demon influenced. Only by being covered by the blood of Jesus do we have power over evil spirits though the power of the Holy Spirit.

I think she was referring to your statement about wanting you answer flagged and not about your experience.

She's using "witchcraft" as an excuse for not really being over this guy.

I think you need to start up a little magic of your own.

If she is a believer and has the Holy Spirit then no black magic cannot touch her, but if not, then she leaves herself open to demonic attack, I know, my mom use to dabble in black magic!
