Oatmeal, Eggs, Grapefruit and Water?

I'm on a tight budget, and need to lose weight. I'm wondering, if I restrict my diet to oatmeal (with some ground flaxseed and dried berry mix added for additional fiber), eggs, grapefruit and Water, can this help me to lose weight in a healthy way. My thinking behind this is that oatmeal is a complex carb, which will take longer to release energy into the body, eggs are a great combined protein and fat source, and fruit never hurts either, especially for vitamin C. Also, they're all (from what I've studied) top rated thermogenic foods. Also, they're all either very low in cost, or relatively low in cost, and require minimum amounts of preparation for an extremely on the go lifestyle like mine. The plan is to eat between 4-6 times a day and to alternate between these three items as much as possible, and to drink only water, and as much of it as possible. What do you think?

Yes but when you buy the dried fruit, make sure there is no added chemicals and sugar. Also, get steel-cut or old fashioned oats, not instant. But I would recommend getting more variety into your diet because you'll get bored of those foods easily. Look around your grocery store and I bet there will be a lot more cheap foods that are good for you.

Thanks! I do have the old fashion oats, and the dried berries are ground with the flax seed into this health type mix. I don't know if there is added stuff in it though, I don't think so, but I'll have to check.

One thing to always remember is if you starve yourself your body will take the little it gets and store if up like if it were to not have any more food and you will gain instead of loose weight.

I plan to eat plenty of it, especially eggs, and somewhat the oatmeal. I really don't plan on going hungry at all. Also, I'll use water to fill me up as well.
