My dog is obsessed with my Rabbit.

I just got a rabbit the other day and my dog will not leave it's sight. My dog wants to be around my rabbit 24 hours a day. When I take our rabbit into a different room to be away from our dog he cries and barks until he can be in the same room as the rabbit again. My dog won't or go outside because he does not want to be away from the rabbit. What should I do?

Keep them seperated because you dont know if the dog will be aggessive around the rabbit. Also it is common for the dog to get "upset" because he smells another animal in the house. give your dog sometime to adjust and try to keep him distracted from your rabbit.
Our dog also got hyped up when we got our two rabbits, but it just took them sometime to get used to the new fellas. So just give your dog sometime and keep him distracted and away from your bunny.

Pop him/her in the nose or tell him/her to get away by calling his/her name and saying "Get over here now!" either that or he's just a little curious that there's a new pet.

Sometimes a dog can become attached to an object, person or another animal. It might even view this creature as it's child. Unless you see something aggressive it is most likely just love.

In the wild bunnies are natural prey to canines.

Find the rabbit a new home because he will will be killed by that dog someday. I'm serious. If you can't do that, then always keep the rabbit out of his reach and always supervise the dog.

You did not state if your dog has ever tried to hurt your rabbit or exhibited any type of aggressive behavior. Your dog has a new friend in your home. Take your bunny outside with you so your dog will go out to do his/her business. In my opinion, from watching Animal Planet, your dog is happy to have a new friend.
