Okay so i'm 5"5 and i weigh 112 pounds. i eat a lot of junk food and all food. is it possible to lose 3 to 6 pounds in a week?

my mom's 5"4 and she's 105 lbs. i wanna be like her!! so im starting a routine starting this morning where im running, swimming, and doing home exercises for the whole week and im cutting myself from any junk food or soda. is it possible to lose almost 6 pounds in a week? there's a really special thing coming up for me next week and i wanna lose fat especially my legs.

6 pounds in one week? No. Unless you cut off a limb, which I doubt you are willing to do. Limiting your soda and sweets plus adding fitness to your schedule can yield you a weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week.

I've lost 4 pounds in a day why not 6 in a week

4 pounds in one day? lol. How do you "claim" to have done that?
Report as
Because I used to be in tkd and had to weigh in but I was overweight for the tournament so I spent the day running and losing those pounds I only ate breakfast it wasn't healthy but yea

Well I'm not going to suggest a teenage girl do something unhealthy. Losing 6 pounds in one week, is very UNHEALTHY. If you want to suggest a young girl do that, go ahead. But I will not. So I'm sticking with what I've typed. Have a nice night.

I wouldn't suggest it it was terrible but yea it's possible good night

Nobody loses 4 lbs in one day. Unless it is water weight... which will be put back on when you drink fluids.
Eating LESS food actually makes you GAIN weight as your body starts to put itself into starvation mode.

Agreed ^^

Well I sweat which made me lose weight and I used the bathroom so the weight of the waste I took out also helped me loose weight
Report as
That isnt really losing weight though. If it comes right back on..... You have lost nothing.

Well I lost weight and in the evening I weighed in then i ate that night so I did get most back

CJ is right. The only way to take weight off and keep it off is increased physical activity and a reduction in caloric intake. When you take it off quick, it comes back quick. If you're unable to change your life style, you should get used to your current weight plus a few pounds. Good answer CJ.

Oh good.... then I was right as well.

It depends on what kind of weight you're looking to lose. I'm assuming its body fat. And if that's the case, then with what your doing, you can lose around two to three pounds of body fat in about a week and a half to two weeks. If you want to be instantly light, you can lose water weight, which isn't actual body fat. Its literally sweating the weight out of you. As a wrestler, I have lost 7 pounds in three hours doing that.

7 pounds in 3 hours?? WOW

Yeah. Lol it was tough. But I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you MUST be at a certain weight in a limited amount of time. Its not too healthy haha

Report as
Yea I lost 4 pounds in idk a couple hours I didn't even eat lunch that day it's terrible
Report as
Lol yeah. All it really is is non-stop hardcore running and jump roping with a ton of layers of sweats on. And no drinking or eating.

I was overweight for a tkd tournament and had to make weight so I lost the pounds but yea it's not good
Report as
Yeah lol. That's happened to me a couple times. The coaches were pissed about me being overweight so I had to lose the weight I was over by before I could leave. Only three pounds but still.
