Why can't the allpowerful God forgive someone of their sins after they die seeing the wage of sin is death?

Romans 6:23 New International Version
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If they paid the price by dieing why do they have to pay again & forever in eternal torment ?

We all die. This is talking about Spiritual death. If you reject Christ you will spent eternity separated from God. But if you Repent and give your life to Jesus. You will be forgiven and spend eternity with the Lord. It's your chose you have a free will. And you need to quit blaming everything on God and trying to make God look bad.

This person's a JW, I'm wondering if they need guidance. Maybe they're conflicted. Otherwise, they're trying to prove us wrong. I don't mind the Q's. I like answering them.

When it says "the wages of sin is death", I believe it is speaking about a "spiritual" death, not an actual physical one. Is that what you are asking?

And who can fathom the counsel of the lord? Speculation such as this is presumptuous and dangerous.

You simply just misunderstood what it's saying here. He (God) isn't saying when you die physically He means spiritually in your soul. Not your body will go to Hell or anything like that. I hope it helped! :)

You can not ask forgiveness if you are dead, you must ask before you die.
If not you end up in hell fire and are consumed and there will be no more remembrance of you.

He cannot go back on His word. "if you eat of this fruit, you shall surely die" is a poor translation. In the hebrew, it says, "you will die die." Once in the flesh and once in the spirit; which is the second death.
To die in the flesh without Jesus is to die the second death.

You've been given a choice while living. Reject Jesus and you will go to hell. Once you are dead the choice is finished. BUT no one knows what happens in the last seconds of someones life. Some may turn to Him then. And some are just never going to.

You are absolutely right. When one dies, they have paid the price for their sins. There is no further need for punishment. In harmony with Romans 6:23, Romans 6:7 says, "For he who has died has been acquitted from his sin."
Additionally, eternal torment would not even be possible according to what Ecclesiastes 9:5 says. That verse teaches that the dead are conscious of nothing at all, and therefore there could be no further punishment administered. So contrary to what many believe, the Bible does not teach that bad people go to hell.

Mortal death is just one part if dying to God, according to Luke 12:3-5...do not be afraid of those who kill tre body. D after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of tr body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you fear him.
We are spiritual beings with organic bodies. It is up to us to understand how to keep our spirits clear from evil, so that we die with no fear.

God could do anything, but he chose to do it before we die. The event of dieing does not remove our sin. Jesus dieing did that. Believing that is our salvation.

The wages of Adam & Eves sin is death. We all die. We inherited that curse. But by accepting Christ & his gift of salvation we do have eternal life.
I'm wondering if that scripture is bent out of proportion.
