In northern Alabama there are the beginning of the Appalachian mountains

we have real mountains here in Washington state.

2400 might be a squatty mountain but still. I know it snot 14000 but there aren't too many that high.

I'm used to living at Lake Tahoe. The town is at 6,450', the peaks are 10-11,000'
