It's a touchy subject and people love to express their opinions and points of view. You can't tell some one they are wrong or present a different point of view because if some one else disagrees, they will never stop arguing.
Probably because it was Sunday, weather was inclement and folks were bored. It's clear some of these questions are intentionally argumentative, but there are sincere queries mixed in too, and we who respond should strive to address them constructively. I frequent the politics category also and there is an ebb and flow there as well.
It is I, Bobby Meade, Israel, Deaf Messenger. "Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of His servant who has walked in continual darkness and seen no light?" (Is. 50:10). "Ask and I will tell you great and hidden things you do not know."(Jer. 33:3).
For Christians, the passion, crucifixion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Christian means follower of Christ) is central to their belief structure. This is the central focus of the week between Passion Sunday (the Sunday before Easter Sunday) and Easter itself.
I would think this subject is on the minds of many people. That usually triggers questions.
