In January 2013, we surveyed thousands of Ask.com Q&A Community members to find out what people love about the place and where we can improve things. One of the ways in which survey respondents were almost in total agreement was the need to focus on quality questions and answers. Based on this, we updated our Community Guidelines -- http://www.ask.com/about/community/guidelines
They made it this way to people can't ask questions like "How are you?", "What's your favorite color?", or "Does he like me?". They've explained countless times that "magic-8-ball" questions like that are to be removed because they aren't serious.
