Why exactly do I feel this way around my family and how can I stop it?

It's just a unexplained feeling I have when around my whole family like I can see them all laughing and smiling and just so HAPPY, but then here I am having to act like I'm happy wearing a fake smile and feel like am not wanted around. I am always feeling nothing, but pity most of the time and I now am starting to be alone away from my family like departing from them and am every day faced with these thoughts of self harm and even worse more things. I hide my feelings deep inside from everybody and lie saying I'm alright because I think it's my fault and own problems to deal with myself I mean most usually I can handle things, but on some occasions I can't. And I find it hard to concentrate with reality like my mind is somewhere far off.... Is STUPID and I hate it!!!!

It's not your fault Rose none of it is so don't you ever think that. When ever feeling of wanting to do self harm you can always hit me up through text or e-mail and I will be there to help you get through it. I promise. I will be there no matter what. Life is like a high way. Once you hit the road and almost feel like you are about to fall of the edge the best is to look for a stop sign and you know what that stop sign is telling you. It's saying stop take a moment to think things over and when feeling like you are ready to hit the road again just keeping on driving till you feel like you have reached your limit and don't let anyone stop you from doing what you want to do !

You might be an addict but never even tried drugs just an addictive personality. You might want to try an aa or na meeting and apply the basic principals to your personal life. Because the meetings are not about the drug or drink its about the emptyness inside of us all.. sorry if i hurt your ego or anything its just a suggestion. I felt the same way you did but also battle an addiction and it works for me. Hope this helps.

You are presenting a classic picture of clinical depression. There is help for you and you can rid yourself of this burden but you're going to have to muster the strength and courage to ask for help. It might be a bit tough to talk to a family member initially, but a trusted teacher, school counselor or church minister might be a better place to start.

Surrender your life to Jesus. Then all the other things won't matter.

Can I ask you a question? Have you ever been prayed for to receive the Baptism of The Holy Spirit? A lot od time we tend to try and do things on our own ( the flesh ) but God says when we receive the Holy Spirit He gives us power to conquer and overcome things in our life. When I got Saved it seemed like nothing really changed in my life, but after receiving the Holy Spirit I got delivered from a lot of things in my life.

You sound depressed, as in suffering from depression. Open up to a trustworthy adult about your anxieties, you may benefit from professional help, but don't sit on this and allow it to fester.

That is exactly what I have been doing letting it fester or hold all inside and thanks too I am facing a problem of letting people help me I would rather tend to keep it all to myself instead like people have their own problems to worry about than being stuck on trying to help me out...

They're out there Rose, get that help, get free of this. You can do it. Good luck.

Sometimes you want more in life
I know how you feel, perhaps traveling would help you?
Or maybe spending time away from your family would help you clear your mind a little bit?

Find everything that your thankful for, look around at all the people that are suffering horribly, people in wheel chairs, homeless out in the freezing cold night after night without a meal to eat, families losing loved ones. If you have your family then that's a lot to be thankful for right there. I've been told, that when your going through something that seems so difficult, face it head on, meaning find people that are suffering like you and help them, that is your reward and you will find purpose in your life. You might just be bored. And it doesn't hurt to talk to your Creator, He knows everything your going through. Lift your head up high, life is grand!

I think you are carrying a lot of weight on your shoulders. You need to find someone, anyone to confide in, let it out. You aren't alone in feelings of isolation, it's common, there's help out there if you look for it, but you need to take the step. Feel better Rose.

Have you tried looking into resources for help such as,
Helpguide.org? There are a ton of places/sites/organizations and just Phone #'s you can look into to get help, and its a well established non-profit. You might be able to hook up with a counselor or group which can help you find a way through this frustration and depression. Give a shot, cant hurt right? :-).

The bible has answers and support for you. For those that are depressed.
" Oh, put God to the test and see how kind he is ! See for your self the his mercies shower down on all who trust in him." Psalms 35:8. For people who say I can't figure things out. He says I will direct you. " Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path." Proverbs. 3:5-6
(Revised Standard)
