Can you put a betta fish and goldfish together in a tank
No. Beta fish are aggressive and do better in their own bowl. If you put them in together, one or both of them will most likely be dead by tomorrow.
I was going to do that but the lady at the pet store said it would destroy the goldfish no matter how big the goldfish was
no, beta fish r fighting fish. very territoral
Yes. The donut shop by our house has lots of small fish in a cylinder with a plant and a betta. They live hAppily and nobody gets hurt
NO!!! Don't your beta fish will destroy that poor goldfish. No doubt about it
I guess if you hate goldfish, then sure.
If u do it you'll need a funeral
No. My 1st Betta I ever got was put with a tank of goldfish and the goldfish ate its tail, causing him to die. That's right. The Betta was the one who got eaten. Guess he was more passive than most.
Unless the gold fish is food!!! (Meaning DONT put it in!!)
Do not put them together one time while I was away my goldfish was swimming happily then my brother put his beta fish in the tank and my goldfish got aten
betta fish are very aGRESSIVE AND TERITORIAL AND WILL CONTINUE TO NIP AT THE GOLDFISH TILL THERE ISNT MUCH LEFT.
No beta fish were kept in japan as pets for the king so he could bet money to watch them fight so it's in there blood to fight till the death
Bettas are able to be put with other passive fish, mostly it depends on the betta. My guppy fish and betta are fine together. But I wouldn't suggest a goldfish and a betta. those are less compatible
It depends on your Betta fish. Mine (Gilbert) is housed with a female Betta and a goldfish. He swims around happily, and he has no interest in either of them. Some Betta fish are more aggressive than my Gilbert.
