I just got braces and they didn't put any elastic/bands on my braces...is that normal?

it still has all the normal wires and brackets and all that but they didnt put those bands coming from one braceket to another. Did they forget?

they dont do that when you first get braces.... that comes like a year later.

That's when they put the barbed wire in to hold em place !

No they only put those on some braces. I think it's for fixing an overbite or underbite. If you don't have either you don't need the bands. But if you're worried about it- ask when you go in for a tightening. :)

Not everyone gets bands and they are different depending on what you need done. My sister and I had totally different band configurations I guess you could call them.
