Keep them close while camping so they don't get lost. Leash them if they chase animals. Break them into being caged at home first. Cage them while moving for their safety. Oh... Pack a first aid kit for the family, and ask your vet on what to have for your pets. A good tip is while camping have a certain wind chime that your pets will get accustomed to hearing. If lost, they can follow the sound back. Bon Voyage!
I've never travled with a pet in an rv, but I have taken mine with me in the car. Bring them 2 bowls,one for food and one for water, a bottle of water,some food, a leash, a blanket to ride on, and if they have any toys bring them too I guess. My parents stop every hour to let them out to pee and give them water/ food if needed.
