Get a pre-paid phone. Often parents will be willing to give you a "phone allowance" to buy you enough minutes to stay in touch, call when you're going to be late, and other responsible uses. After that it's up to you to pay for lots of texting, long calls, etc. You run out of minutes or reach text limits, you're out of luck. Once you have consequences to deal with you'll change your habits pretty fast.
Just use your allowance that you have already have earned and ask again. Or you can deserve it from your parents and use your allowance that you have (if you get allowance) and buy yourself a card with minutes on it you you could text or call anyone you want all i do is deserve it and i get my minutes every time i run out but it may take you a while to earn it but its worth a try to get it if you really want a phone.
Take a break from your iPod and try to show them you can do it but if you can't then save up for an iPhone. If you wait till your 16 maybe you can make a deal with your parents? Pay for the phone and give them the money for the bill every month? Just something to think about! c:
