How many years back do you go on your resume?

It is said that you should go 15 years back on your resume. This is according to the rules of thumb in which some experts still indicate that ten years would be the cut off. Therefore, figure out how much of your career should show up on your resume.

The rule of thumb of past employments on a resume would be 10 years.

As long as the experience is relevant, include it. Otherwise, the 10 year suggestion is pretty standard.

Typically 10 years is the safest bet, however if you have education and military experience those should never drop off the resume. If it is relevant to your prospective job opportunity than you need to include it.

On a resume you post your education and then relavant jobs for what you are applying for. Try to keep your resume to one page. You job history is for the application they will provide you.

My wife's resume is two pages long. She has had two jobs in her professional career but has numerous accomplishments to her credit.

I dont think its the years... but to input all the related work experience to the job you are applying to.
