During a flame test, why is calcium's brick red flame not persistent while that of strontium is?

Report as

Calcium's brick red flame is not persistent because it does not have many ions as compared to the Strontium. Another reason is that calcium has no much strong elements thus making it to have a brick red flame which is not persistence.
