My doctor says he doesn't want to schedule me an MRI because it's dangerous. What makes an MTI dangerous. He never explained?

Then why didn't you make the point of asking him when you were there, since he would know better than anyone here as to why it's dangerous. Sorry, not the answer you wanted but, any answer you get here is just a guess. I know nothing of you case, or your doctor.....might have been some type of problem with the MRI machine and has nothing to do with you ?

Because the powerful magnetic fields produced by the machine can make the object move, possibly leading to physical damage for the patient, or cause the device to malfunction.

Are you pregnant? You need to ask your doctor. I've had like 5 or 6 myself.

MRI is quite safe and I don't know why he has declined for that investigation. He might not have felt it to go for MRI investigation, so just to avoid it he told it to be dangerous. It is quite safe. If you feel it necessary you can do that.

MRI is NOT safe, all that magnetic imaging has been linked to cancer!

I don't know why he would say that to you .. Are you sure THAT is what he said .. that it was "Dangerous"?? or could you have misunderstood what he said?

It's more dangerous to NOT have an MRI when one is needed to identify a problem than it is to have one and NOT need it.

MRI along with CT SCAN have shown to have links to cancer. This is what I was told last time I was admitted to the hospital, and they needed to run tests to find out what was wrong.

Unless its absolutely necessary, it's not advisable to get a MRI because of the amount of magnetic radiation produced
