.why do dogs have whiskers ?
whiskers impairs a dogs ability to hunt and play... and they whiskers detect air currents and vibrations which causes the dog to react quickly.
Another sense I think. Don't hold that against me though.
I don't know. Why do cats have whiskers?
They help dogs sense the direction of the wind which can tell them the direction a scent is coming from.
to feel in dark tight places, like rabbit holes
Whiskers are animals' extra sense. It helps them detect bad weather so that they can go somewhere safe. (Like if a storm is coming or a volcano is getting ready to erupt.)
to balance their heads cause if part of a whisker comes off then the dog will either tilt to the left or right its the same thing with cats
Cats have whiskers for balance and dogs have it for the same reason
