Help Me Please and FASSST

OK so there is a black cat that is really thin in front of our house. We don't mind cats we even name them there is Joesy, Fatty Patty, Friendly Cat, Loin Face, and the list goes on. We have a food bowl out in front of our house with cat food in it. Yesterday a black cat came along and sat in front of our house. I went out there to get friendly cat out of the way so the black cat could eat. I didn't touch the black cat and only have seen it at least once or twice hiding in the neighborhood, when my mom looked outside to see what I was doing she saw the black cat and ordered me to come back inside because it was drooling! I came in from the back of the house and my mom called the animal shelter. My mom had to pick up my sister from driving class and had to take me with her so I wouldn't be home alone. when we got back home the black cat wasn't there. On our way to the school we had seen the Animal Shelter truck drive by so we figured they caught it. But as I write this the black cat is in front of our house. I have two little brothers one in 2 and the other just turned 1. They both love cats but I am really afraid to ever let them out of the house again. What do I do?

It could have anything from being hot to rabies. I suggest you get the cat into a carrier somehow and call animal control to come get it. Some cats just drool naturally. My cat drools all the time, there's nothing wrong with her. She's up to date on her shots, etc, and has no disease. See if the cat will eat or anything like that. If not, it's probably sick or has rabies, which means the cat needs to be collected and eutanized SOON... If one of the other cats happens to fight that cat, they will be infected SUPER easy.

I think that you should go outside if you want to but if you see the black cat then go inside.

Sounds like the cat is sick. If so it wont be around too long. Sorry.

what you do is learn that sometimes you don't pet the strange cat. you learn when to stay away and when to approach.

Poor cat, leave it alone. Obviously it's starving. It's color means nothing so stop being racist.

I like the cat I am not racist before I saw it drooling II went outside to feed it but when I say a huge puddle and drool coming down from its mouth I got up to go back inside and it almost bit me. I love cat. and to proove that I am not racist I have a black simease cat and her name is meesha. The only reason I asked this question is to make sure my little brothers don't have to end up in the hospital when that black cat bites them!
