Explain how weathering and mechanical are related

Report as

It's chemical weathering btw.

Mechanical weathering is the physical breaking down of rocks or surfaces due to factors such as wind, water, without making any changes to the chemical properties of the matter. It is simply physical breaking down of mattter. Chemical weathering is breaking down of the rock or surface into smaller pieces as well as there being a chemical change in the rock or surface.Eg will be frost action, biological activity, water prodcuing change in chemical components of rock.

Do you mean chemical weathering and mechanical weathering? I think i'm doing the same homework as you right now. For that question I wrote that they both wear away stuff, damage people's property, destroys sidewalks, and they both can be caused by rain.

The relationship is that mechanical weathering involves the disintegration of rock into smaller fragments. Chemical weathering breaks down material into matters with new composition and diverse physical characteristic.
