How do you get your parents to buy more animals?

I want to have a hamster and I don't know how to get one

How I got my Ball Python: I made several different letters & slideshows, each one detailing one part of Ball Python care (Housing, medical, etc) and near-by snake vets. I delivered one presentation each two or three months, taking my time on them and detailing them as much as possible. I did it so that I could deliver the last one a month from my birthday. On my birthday, my parents set up several scenes with a fake snake named "Rocky" and told me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. After I passed all these scenarios, and got them all down correctly within two tries, we went to the snake breeder downtown and got a lemonblast Ball Python. I'm not saying that your parents will be the same, but proving you know what to do with your future pet is a good way to help persuade them. :)
